Annapurna Explorer

The Annapurna region is famed for its cultural and scenic diversity and splendid mountain views. This route reveals its glories as none other, and from elevations even the first timer can handle (the highest point is 7400ft.). From Pokhara, you climb gradually to scenic ridge offering unforgettable views of the Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri and Machapuchare’s famous fishtail peak. Passing through lush forests and small farming villages inhabited by Gurung people, you visit the charming settlement of Ghandrung, with its neat slate-roofed houses and winding lanes, and will marvel at the immense peaks of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. A shady trail winds back to Pokhara, with a final spectacular view of sunset gilding the Himalaya.
