After the fly to Lukla, our trek begins up the trail of the Dudh Kosi canyon, zig zagging from side to side through stone walled fields, rustic villages and veautiful forests. On the way we leave behind Jorsale, headquarters of Sagarmatha National Park, and climb to Namche Bazaar and into a country among the lofty summits, snow fed rivers and flowing glaciers.
Through Phortse and Luza we pass cliff hanging monasteries waving their flags in solitude. Gokyo provides a scenic base with its turquoise blue lake that glitters in the chill of this great height. There is a spectacular view of Cho Oyu and Gyanchung Kang but the splendor is only complete by the panoramo of peaks that include Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Makalu.
We follow back the route to Lukla to re-experiencing the joys of nature from where we fly back to Kathmandu.
