National parks and reserves;

Royal Chitwan National Park, situated in the inner Terai plains was the first national park of Nepal Tropical forest sand grasslands her contain large populations of the one horned rhino and other endangered species like the Royal Bengal Tiger Gangetic dolpin, gharial crocodile and gaur Bison. 440 species of birds are found in the park, including the giant hornbill, the paradise flycatcher, and the Bengal florican.
